Requiem of Twilight « Result #1 on Aug 12, 2009, 10:46pm »
Over a hundred years ago...
The King of Thieves was captured in a failed attempt to kill the Hylian King and usurp the throne. As punishment, he was ordered to be executed by the Ancient Sage spirits, but as this order was carried out, through some divine jest, the evil Gerudo was gifted with the Goddesses’ power and revived.
Breaking free of his restraints, the dark lord drew the weapon of his demise from his chest, his vile laugh filling the air as he prepared to kill his executioners. However, this short moment of reprieve was the King’s downfall, as the Sages managed to open a portal to another world behind him. The void the portal created began to pull at him, slowly drawing him towards its depths, proving beyond even the Goddesses’ power to prevent.
The last act of the King of Evil before he disappeared from time was to launch the Sage’s Sword into the portal’s originator, piercing the very center of the Mirror of Twilight, but this proved to be worthless, as the damage was merely superficial, and the blade was quickly pulled into the void with its new owner…
The world has since lived in peace, battles and wars are small and short, fights becoming a mere training exercise of caution. People remain alert, prepared, but relaxed and comfortable.
Unfortunately, as with all things,
peace cannot last forever…
As you can tell, this is a Legend of Zelda Roleplay site, and I'm sure those of you who have good eyes can tell its based on the Twilight Princess game, but expanded and with a twist. We like to think of our site as a "Fantasy/Zelda RP", the knowledge of Zelda required is minimal~ You are able to claim canons from the game, as well as make original characters, get involved with the plot if you wish, and roleplay to your hearts content. ♥
The Chosen {{ LB « Result #2 on Dec 3, 2008, 1:06pm »
Long ago, a single clan of people ventured deep into the forest to find their true meaning. They stumbled upon an old wizard, dying right then. He gave them a gift, and a curse. He transfered the last of his powers into each of them. One, he gave the power of earth, a firm, unwavering man. The next, water, to a powerful yet almost calm lady. The third, the power of fire, to a rebellious, feisty man. To the last, the power of air, to a small, carefree girl. He made them promise that they would only use their gifts for good, and they agreed. Staying with their master to his last dying breath, they learned to control their powers and knew the limits and all that could happen. The group split when the wizard died, and they got married and had kids of their own. Not surprised in the least, one of their offspring carried on their given powers. They would secretly help their children understand and control their powers. But as the years went on, these kids forgot to train their offspring, if they even had offspring. Some where too proud to share their powers. The children found powers that were hard to understand and confusing in all sorts. Now in the present day, a group of chosen found each other. They decided to set up a camp for those who were placed with these powers. Not only a camp to learn, but a sanctuary from the world where mocking and confusion lay. They tried to make it a comfort to those who would be spending most, if not all, of their life there. It is almost like a small town in the middle of the abandoned forest. Those gifted gather in from the far corners of the earth. All different nationalities, all different ages, but the have one thing in common. They are all called The Chosen.
A Midnight Requiem « Result #3 on Dec 1, 2008, 4:53pm »
"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches ... Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies ... And the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not ... And either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives ... The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies..."
The year is 1977, the prophecy has already been made, and the Marauders are in their final year of school. James, Sirius, Peter and Remus have become the best of friends. The Marauder's map is already forged, and they have been seen getting into a bit of trouble at Hogwarts. Voldemort has begun his rise to power and two groups have been formed on opposite sides: the Death Eaters who march for Voldemort, and the Order of the Phoenix who fight against them. The wizarding world is rapidly changing but nothing is ever set in stone.
James is pursuing Lily, but will she actually fall for his shenanigans? Will Severus really go to the dark side? Will Harry still be the one to defeat the Dark Lord in the future, or will a new power rise up against He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named? How many victims will Voldemort claim?
In A Midnight Requiem the choice is entirely up to you. You create the site plot, and you decide the fate of the future. Will it be the same as J.K. Rowling said it would be? Only time can tell...
A Day in the Life of the Marauders « Result #4 on Sept 7, 2008, 2:06pm »
The year is 1974 and life as it is known is on the verge of complete change.
VOLDEMORT is a fairly new threat, just on the verge of rising to power, but already there are disappearances and deaths. VOLDEMORT is reaching out to pureblood families, igniting the spark of pureness. Students are being targeted more than ever, as they head to take their place in society.
In a move to counter-act VOLDEMORT, DUMBLEDORE decides to start a group, which he names the ORDER OF THE PHEONIX, though DUMBLEDORE refuses to allow students to join, wanting to protect their innocence as long as possible.
There is an uneasy feeling at HOGWARTS, wariness becoming prestent when travelling around the grounds. Distrust is spreading, friends are growing distant and aquaintances are barely spoken to. The news that some families have been attacked unsettles all.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For all the things that are going on, the students find that their professors aren't about to be lax. For the MARAUDERS in their fourth year, the professors are beginning to worry about O.W.L.s, piling upon the students piles of homework.
And on top of the homework, all of the students have to juggle their personal lives. Which is no easy feat at HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY.
lost innocence ! « Result #8 on Aug 4, 2008, 5:53pm »
Many people believe the mob to be a myth. A spook story made up by the government to make it seem like it was impossible for normal people to be involved with crime. But the problem is that the Sicilian Cosa Nostra breaks that myth. La Cosa Nostra is the Americanized version of that, becoming one of the biggest 'myths' of the world. No one knows who runs La Cosa Nostra, no one knows who's a part of it and how it's run. Of course, those who are involved know everything. La Cosa Nostra is secretly run by the Esposito family, the same family who happens to own one of the most popular hotels and casinos in all of Las Vegas - the Palms. Through that cover business, the Esposito family are able to run five different crime rings. Drug dealings, Prostitution, Hitmen, Robbery, and Grand Theft Auto. While their dealings take place all over the world, the hub of La Cosa Nostra is right in the heart of Las Vegas, where they recruit members.
You see, the Esposito family isn't your typical mob. They have no problem recruiting people outside of the family in order to get support. But that doesn't mean that they pick just anyone. Oh no. Candidates are carefully studied for months on end, to see their tendencies. The Espositos find that those who are new to Las Vegas, with shattered dreams are usually the best targets. These 'innocent ones' invest all of their money into their dreams and when most don't make it, they end up broke and have a need to return home. That's where the Espositos step in with a proposition.
How would you like to live a life full of adrenaline and entertainment, and make money for it?
Obviously, most are ecstatic to hear about the new possibility and are all ears. But once they agree, they're sucked in and they become part of the mob. Once you're in, you're in for life. Many don't mind, simply because they've finally found a staple of survival in a town that they came to make it big. They're making the big bucks and enjoying themselves while they're doing it so there are no problems. And besides, even if there was a problem - they wouldn't live to tell about it.
They say adrenaline's addicting and those members of La Cosa Nostra can testify to it. Even the most innocent of people, ones who never broke a law in their life find themselves soaked up in the dealings. It's the greed, the insatiable feeling that develops inside of you, no matter how innocent you are. Most blame it on the manipulation of the Espositos, but others blame the city of Las Vegas itself. Everything here is flashy, and to have a chance to be a part is everything these people want, even if it means putting their lives on the line. That innocence they had when they moved to Las Vegas? It's all lost once you step foot across this line. The line between simplicity and adventure. Take a leap, because there's no turning back.
a place for the rich and the famous, the bold and the beautiful. the same goes for the prestigious Parker Prep, school to many of the beautifully rich, trust fund kids. located on manhattan upper east side, Parker Prep is the 'it' school for all the teenagers who have class and wealth.
among the student body here at Parker Prep, it confirmed that there are many different cliques of people. the populars, commonly known as the 'royalty', the bookworms, the jocks and the loners. everyone has their place in the school, or so they think.
GOSSIP CAN KILL.
but you alone have your own destiny among the crowd. that's what 'gossip girl' would say. oh, didn't we mention? oh yea, be careful. with money and popularity comes responsibility. and believe me, 'gossip girl' will know. she has the power to make or break you and your prefect little world, all she needs is a computer and the people willing to read the gossip.
behind all the glitz and glam, these teenagers are just that, teenagers. teenagers surrounded by the money to get or get away with anything they want. at least they hope so.
